It is my pleasure to work with parents and children. Offering topics of interest to you and your family is my goal. Please let me know of other classes you would like to learn about so that I can better meet your needs. Tailoring my talks for you and your friends is my goal. Starting Solids - First Foods For Babies - Please join me for an engaging and informative conversation about this important milestone. Learn about starting solid foods for your babies from a whole-foods perspective, when to start, how to minimize food allergies and sensitivities, in addition to time-and money-saving tips for making your own baby food. Delicious recipes and tastings will be included to help get you started on this journey.

Feeding the "Picky" Eaters -Nourishing Our Toddlers - (even if "picky")- Does your child sometimes say "no" to even his/her "favorite foods"? Are you trying to navigate the desires of your little one's? Please join Wendy for a talk focusing on some behaviors to anticipate, how to make mealtimes more enjoyable, tips for creating healthy boundaries around food and eating, and what toddlers need for growth and development.

Effects of Sugar on Children - In this talk, Wendy focuses on ways that nutritional changes can be an important component in managing the effects of sugar on children. Some examples include a discussion of which sweeteners to remove from your family's diet, a review and sampling of sweeteners to use for long-term health, and choosing food for overall blood sugar balance.
 
Suggestions & Easy How-To's for Meals with Caregivers (sitter friends, grandparents and all)- In this talk, Wendy will address some common questions that arise between new parents and their well intentioned and loving grandparents and/or caregiver helpers. Some of the topics discussed include ideas for healthy substitutions to common foods, suggestions for "what to prepare" or tasks that are helpful to you, as well as tools for compromising that can pave the way for receiving help.

Nutrition for Pre-conception optimization for moms AND dads - If you are considering embarking on this journey towards pregnancy, consider taking this class to learn some tips for optimizing your own personal health. This class is for mothers AND fathers to be. Some of the topics covered include what foods to look for, what foods or ingredients to minimize and/or eliminate along with a recommended time table for beginning to make these changes.

Pregnancy Nutrition - Congratulations on your pregnancy! Now that you are "here" ...are you nauseous? craving foods you never liked before? unable to eat foods you thought you loved? wondering if you are eating well for your growing baby/ies? Please join Wendy for a talk where these topics and more will be addressed.

Nutrition for Breastfeeding - What a wonderful gift you have chosen for your child. Join Wendy for this class and learn ways to fortify yourself while breastfeeding and giving so much to your child. Learn easy ways to increase the amounts of especially important nutrients while breastfeeding such as calcium, B vitamins, vitamin D, protein and more. Suggestions for having the needed calories and food on hand will also be included.

Nutrition for Post-Partum - Whether choosing to feed your child through breastfeeding or bottle or both, you are an integral part of your child's development. Taking care of yourself during this time, although at times challenging, is important to remember. Please join Wendy as she shares some easy to follow tools for self-care amidst new (or repeat) parenthood while in "babyland with baby brain." The following ideas will be included: foods to keep on hand, things to ask for, nutrients and tips for eating in order to lose the baby weight while maintaining health for your precious child/ren.
